National Day in the UAE, also known as Eid Al Watani, is celebrated on December 2 each year. This holiday marks the day the 6 emirates banded together at Union House (now Etihad Museum) followed by Ras Al Khaimah to form the United Arab Emirates in 1971. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan was the country’s first president. It is one of the most celebrated events in the UAE and a time of great national pride, which acknowledges the country’s rich heritage. To celebrate UAE’s 46th national day, here are some amazing things you could do with your loved ones to celebrate the Spirit of the Union.
