South Indian cuisine is now popular in this part of the Middle East and the credit goes to chef Jumanah. Her efforts have made her the face of South Indian cuisine today and she is celebrated for her contributions. She is a star chef, a cookery TV show host, anchor, and a winner of several prestigious culinary awards. She has also authored some of the best-selling cookbooks. She is Jumanah Kadri. 

Tell us about your work, how did you reach this pedestal? What is your key ingredient to success?

I consider myself very fortunate for owning a restaurant in Al Wahda Mall, which is one of the most renowned and prestigious malls in Abu Dhabi, UAE. My passion for cooking and my interest in exploring new flavors in a healthy way took me to the idea of owning a restaurant where people can trust the food just as much as they would a home-cooked meal. We make sure that the ingredients we use are of the highest quality standards. This is what creates our secret sauce. We want to ensure our customers can have a most joyous, and safe family dining experience. Never compromising on my passion and ethics helps me stay happy.

What brings you joy?

The happiness of people around me always makes me happy. The happiness and satisfaction of our diners and the love they give for the brand is a great source of joy. The greatest reward is the smile I see in my customers when we make their ‘special day parties’ even more special and unique with our party catering.

What would you tell a young graduate today?

Don’t follow the dreams of those around you, have dreams of your own! It’s very important to discover one’s Dream, interest, and passion. Once you set your goal to achieve your dream, plan out the path to achieve it. If the path doesn't match your dream, you can never succeed.
