Daria Solovieva is a Russian-American business journalist, digital strategist and media entrepreneur. In 2016 Daria launched ella newsletter (ellaletter.com) to offer women in the Middle East weekly summaries of relevant news stories, inspiring profiles of female leaders and career tips. She was featured in Entrepreneur ME Achieving Woman 2017 edition. I am the founder/CEO of ellaletter.com, a newsletter for professional women in the Middle East. I've been a journalist for 10 years before, reporting from Somalia, Egypt and across the Middle East. I'm passionate about supporting women and helping them achieve their fullest potential. Seeing women embrace and own their power, their God-given skills and succeed professionally is what makes me get up every morning and do what I do, despite the many obstacles you face as an entrepreneur. My family and my friends, seeing them happy and at peace with themselves and their ambitions, also bring me joy. You can do and be anything you put your mind to, don't listen to anyone. Dreaming alone or making a Pinterest board is not enough. Make a decision, a goal and put all your resources and energy into it. Time is precious so make every minute count. It's okay to change that decision or career goal later, but you'll be on your way to becoming the person you know you can be and reveal the TRUE YOU. There is so much support, opportunities and individuals (men and women) who really want to support women and their professional success in this country. I've been fortunate to meet and work with many of them and I can say that the next few years will be remarkable for women in the UAE.Daria Solovieva
