Lifting Sling

Lifting sling is commonly called an assistive device. Lifting slings are used by patients in hospitals to be transferred between a bed and a chair or other similar resting places. Lifting slings involve the use of hydraulic power. Lifting slings are used for patients whose mobility is limited. Lifting slings could be mobile or floor lifts or overhead lifts, suspended from ceiling-mounted or overhead tracks. Lifting slings are made of a woven nylon or cotton which can effectively hold the weight of the patient while suspended in air. The fabric is attached to a series of hooks and clips. Lifting slings help reduce the number of nursing staff required to move patients. It can also be used commercially, in construction industry where it can be used to lift goods to and from elevated levels.
