Water Jet Cutting Equipment & Services
A water jet cutter, also known as a water jet is powered enough industrial tool which cuts a wide variety of materials using a very high-pressure jet of water, or a mixture of water and a coarse, sharp substance. Water jet cutter without the use of added abrasives is often used for softer materials such as food or rubber. Water jet cutting is used during fabrication of machine parts. Water jet cutting is used in various industries including mining and aerospace for cutting, shaping, and reaming. Water jet cutter cuts material without interfering with its inherent structure, hence metals to be cut are not harmed nor are their basic properties changed. Water jet cutters are also capable of creating complicated cuts in material. Water jets use approximately one half to one gallon per minute water, which can then be recycled using a closed-loop system. Water jets also produce fewer airborne dust particles, smoke, fumes, and contaminants, reducing operator exposure to hazardous materials. Meat cutters also use water jet cutter to remove the risk of cross-contamination between different animals in a slaughter house.
