Uninterruptible Power Supply
An uninterruptible power supply, also uninterruptible power source, UPS is an electrical machine that provides emergency power to load when the main power fails. Uninterrupted power supply is mainly used to protect computers, data centers, telecommunication equipment or other electrical equipment where an unexpected power disruption could cause injuries, fatalities, serious business disruption or data loss. Uninterrupted power supply units range in size from units designed to protect a single computer to large units powering entire data centers or buildings. Uninterruptible power supply is also now commonly used at homes in countries where power outages are frequent and common.
