Surveyors - Quantity
Quantity surveyors are responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures. Quantity surveyors help minimise project costs while achieving required standards and quality. Quantity surveyors may work for either the client or the contractor, working in an office or on-site. Quantity surveyors prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and the client and carry out costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work. Quantity surveyors also perform risk and value management and cost control and advises on procurement strategy. Quantity surveyors identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks and map out costings for tenders.
