Indian restaurants serve Indian cuisine, in accordance to Indian culture, local customs, traditions, and religions. Indian restaurants do not serve cow, which is considered sacred in their religion. However, Beef is commonly sold in Indian restaurants in the South-Western states, Goa and Kerala. Apart from this, international restaurants in urban areas serve beef dishes according to their usual menus. Proper table manners and dining etiquettes are a part and parcel of every Indian restaurant, which includes washing one’s hands before eating and eating with one’s right hand only. Indian restaurants and their food is heavily influenced by religious and cultural choices.
