Restaurants - British
British restaurants serve British cuisine, which is a specific set of cooking traditions and practices associated with the United Kingdom. Traditionally, British cuisine is unfussy dishes made with high quality local ingredients, with simple sauces. However, British cuisine has absorbed the cultural influence of those settled in Britain, hence the invention of hybrid dishes served in British restaurants such as Chicken Tikka. Traditional British restaurants serve the country’s most popular fish and chips, to shepherd’s pie and Steak and Kidney pie. British restaurants can either serve British, Welsh or Scottish cuisine, such as Cornish pasties, to Welsh cakes and the Yorkshire pudding.
