Plants - Indoor
Indoor plants are plants housed indoors to make surroundings more beautiful, pleasing and relaxing. Indoor plants are known as houseplants. Indoor plants are used to decorate residences and offices, to fill in space with freshness. Indoor plants are said to promote positive psychological effects. Indoor plants are grown also for health reasons such as indoor air purification. Plants used in this fashion are most commonly, though not always, tropical or semi-tropical. Indoor plants also reduce indoor air pollution, particularly volatile organic compounds, such as benzene, toluene, and xylene.
