Pipes - Pre Insulated
Insulated pipes are also known as pre-insulated pipes or bonded pipes. Pre-insulated pipes are used for district heating and hot water supply. Pre-insulated pipes consist of a steel pipe, an insulating layer, and an outer casing. Pre-insulated pipes maintain fluid temperature in the pipes. Most commonly used pre-insulated pipes are the single insulated pipes. Pre-insulated pipes direct heat transfer between pipes and prevent pipes from freezing. Pre-insulated pipes use polyurethane foam for their manufacturing. Pre-insulated pipelines are usually assembled from pipes of 6 m, 12 m, or 16 m in length, laid underground in depth 0.4–1.0 m.
