A piano is a musical instrument which is played using a keyboard. Pianos are widely used in classical and jazz music. Piano is also popular as a tool for composing and rehearsal. Pianos are non-portable and expensive. Almost every modern piano has 52 white keys and 36 black keys for a total of 88 keys. A piano’s outer rim is commonly made of hardwood, typically maple or beech from which the flexible soundboard can best vibrate. Also the massive material makes pianos immobile. Pianos are of two types, the grand piano and the upright piano. Pianos now come in various styles including electric pianos and digital pianos.
