Grease Traps - Sales, Services & Cleaning
Grease Traps, also known as grease interceptors, grease recovery devices and grease converters, are plumbing tools fashioned in such a way to stop/seize most greases and solids before they enter a wastewater disposal system. Grease traps prevent blockages in drain pipes. Grease Traps are used to reduce the amount of fats, oils and greases (FOGs) that enter the main sewers. Grease Traps are boxes within the drain run that flows between the sinks in a kitchen to the sewer system. Grease traps can be made from stainless steel, plastics, concrete and cast iron. Grease traps range from 35 litre capacity to 45,000 litres and above capacity. Grease traps can be placed above ground, below ground, inside the kitchen or outside the building. Almost all commercial kitchen operations require grease traps which must be maintained on a routine basis, through the use of a bacteria additive.
