Graphic Designers are professionals who have mastered the art of graphic design and graphic arts, bringing together images, typography or motion graphics to create a piece of design. A graphic designer creates graphics for published, printed or electronic media including brochures and advertising. Graphic designers also cater to typesetting and illustrations and web designs, sometimes also take teaching positions. Graphic designers must possess a degree or certificate from known institutions, an AAS, MFA or an MPhil/PhD in graphic design. The most common software used in the graphic design industry is Adobe Creative Suite for Photoshop, creating logos and typography and In-Design. Common uses of graphic design include logos and branding, publications for magazines, newspapers and books, advertisements and product packaging.
