Doctors - Orthopaedics
Orthopedics deal with problems of the bones and joints, being a branch of medicine centered on injuries to the musculoskeletal system, including spine and joint injuries or deformities. There are multiple branches of orthopedics, including orthopedic surgeons, rheumatologists, physical therapists and orthopedic pediatricians. Orthopedics may work in specialized practices or else in hospitals. Orthopedic doctors treat broken bones, joint problems, like arthritis and degenerative conditions, like osteoporosis. Orthopedics also takes care of sport injuries, infections, and tumors in the bones. Orthopedics tend to tendons, ligaments, joints, nerves and muscles. Some but not all orthopedic doctors perform surgery.
