Abu Dhabi is both the capital and Federal capital of the United Arab Emirates, and is the largest of the seven emirates. This second most populous city of the UAE lies on a T-shaped island, with its futuristic skyscrapers rising from the desert coast of the Persian Gulf. The places for Shopping in Abu Dhabi are the famous Old Souk; Al Nasr Street; Zayed, the Second; Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Khalifa. These places have big modern air-conditioned shopping plazas selling everything from gold to antique jewelry, electronics gadgets to cars, designer clothes and giftware, toiletries to cosmetics and antiques to souvenirs in elegantly designed designer boutiques.

There are over 18 shopping malls like Abu Dhabi Mall, Marina Mall, Al Muhairy Centre, Al Raha Mall, Khalidiyah Mall,  Madinat Zayed Shopping & Gold Centre among the few trendy malls and among these the two of Abu Dhabi's biggest shopping malls are Marina Mall and Abu Dhabi Mall. The Abu Dhabi Mall, located near the Beach Rotana Hotel and Towers, has over 220 stores. The mall also features over 40 food outlets, a six screen cinema and the Abu Dhabi Co-op hypermarket. The mall’s Dune City Entertainment Centre and Bowling City are a welcome break for young shoppers and their parents.
